Last Nights Thunder Storm

Last night there were all kinds of rumbling and I'm not just talking about the thunder.  We could hear some loud banging out on the back porch mom looked out and saw nothing.  I was hiding under mom's blankie on the couch due to the thunder but I was sticking my head out in curiosity.  Mom finally went outside and saw a big black dog in the doghouse trying to pull in covers in.  She called to the black dog and she came to mom.  She was shaking and very frightened.  Mom looked on her collar and she had a phone number.  She called and left a message regarding a black dog.  In a little while a man called back and said he owned a black dog.  Mom told him where we lived and he couldn't believe it because they lived about 10 miles away but as the crow flies or should I say the was the dog runs it would be half the distance.  When he and his wife were pulling up the drive, mom called to the black dog and when she saw the truck she started wagging her tail and went running toward it.  The man and woman were very thankful mom called.  Mom said they just kept saying thanking you, thank you.  Don't you just love happy ending.

  2. That's a happy ending which we like. The peeps who owned the black dog must have been scared when they couldn't find their dog. We can understand why they kept saying thank you.

  5. We are so glad that his number was on that collar, I bet he was scared out there plus he had heard you are the great Dingo chaser so he was worried you might mistake him for a dingo, we are so glad he got home safely....now Sully on another note, on Sunday mom went to see her momma and all she heard about all afternoon was "Sully this...and Sully that....." You won our grandma's heart over with that card you sent her, heck she even talked about when she started to feel better WRITING you a letter, Maggie is rethinking that box we are sending to you. 19. What a great story Sully! Kudos to Mom for reuniting the pup with her pawrents. She would be crazy with worry if we got lost in a storm. We are hoping they are over, at least for a few days. We are very tired of all this rain and the thunder boomers!
