Shrikes
Warning this is gross but kinda cool too. The Shrikes are back they are little birds that impale their food on our barbed wire fence so they can eat what they have caught. This is what they look like....
We know they are back because we have been finding mice, grasshoppers, and crawdads impaled on our fence. Mom took pictures of three different mice on the barbed wire in three different locations. I hope the picture doesn't gross anyone out.
Pretty cool huh?

He's a pretty birdie, I'm not so sure about his eating habits though. You never see me leaving ANY of my foodables lying about!

Why that is like the wild wild west, you kill your pray and then you hang their hides out to tan. Yep that bird beat those mice. Interesting.

OMD, burdies after my own heart!!!! Lookie at that! I had no ideas burdies did that! The only burdies that do stuffs like that are our Ravens...I HATES those Ravens! Anyhu, the less mices the betters!
